Americans are outraged about news that Facebook co-founder at Eduardo Saverin's reported move to renounce his U.S. citizenship to avoid paying federal taxes.

"Americans feel personally ripped off," according to comments posted across a variety of social media platforms, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Saverin had made huge sum of money from Facebook-loving U.S. taxpayers and is now defriending the country when it is time to pay back some of that money back to U.S. taxpayers.

A spokeswoman for Saverin said the move was not intended to avoid paying taxes, but because Saverin plans to live in Singapore for an indefinite period of time to handle business ventures that he's launching. (ANI)
